The enchantment of art: Sismondo Castle, Rimini
An exhibition of masterpieces from the prestigious Museum of Fine Arts in Boston.
The art centre in Boston, in collaboration with the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio of Rimini brings 65 masterpieces of European painting from the 16th to the 20th century to Italy for five months.
On display are four centuries of painting by famous artists: from Tintoretto to Veronese, from Rembrandt to Van Dyck, from Velasquez to El Greco, from Canaletto to Tiepolo, from Manet to Degas, from Monet to Cézanne, from Gauguin to Van Gogh, from Matisse to Picasso.
The exhibition is organized according to a project by Marco Goldin and by George Shackelford, one of the best art historians and director of the department of European painting at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston.
Simultaneously two other events have been organized:
- Painting in Italy. Real and intimate landscapes – an exhibition of contemporary art at Sismondo Castle
- Piero della Francesca and the art treasures in Rimini – an unusual itinerary to discover historic and artistic Rimini with the exceptional guide Antonio Paolucci.
